This is a really nice simple morning detox drink. I recommended to drink this as soon as you wake up and 20/30 minutes before eating for the full benefits. You can adjust the flavourings if you would prefer for more/less spice. This recipe is perfected to my taste. The flavour is also altered by the strength of the spice. The cayenne I’m using at the moment is particularly spicy, so I use slightly less then I normally would.
You can also make this ahead of time in a large batch and reheat daily in the mornings.
Ingredients
Serves 1
2 tablespoons of raw kombucha vinegar
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
1 large pinch of cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon or a cinnamon stick
2/3 slices of fresh ginger
1 tsp of local/manuka honey
Method
Place all the ingredients in a cup, add hot water and stir until honey has dissolved.
